Jarmo Jalava and The Vagrant Spirits have over a century of performing and recording experience between them, yet the music, the voice, and a few of the faces are completely new and fresh on the scene. The Spirits are:

Jocelyn Grills, drums (The Heretics, with frequent past airplay on CFNY 102.1 The Edge and MuchMusic)
The gifted James McKenty on guitars and percussion.
Martin Gallop, http://www.thebandgallop.com First Prizewinner in the 2000 Canadian National Songwriters Contest, helped produce the debut cd, Hole in the Sky.
The cd also features appearances by:
- best-selling author Alison Wearing (Honeymoon in Purdah) on vocals,
- Saskia Hummel (Joe Hall and the Continental Drift) on accordion,
- Matt Fines on pedal steel guitar.
